Tribute to the Triathalon-ers!

Some of my family members completed a Triathalon a few weekends ago. I am so proud of them and wanted to pay tribute to them for their accomplishments. Way to go guys.
Kim, Todd, & Dad entered in the team division and did it together & Mike did it by himself. Here are some pictures of their journey.

Here are Mike and Kim in their HOT outfits before they started!

And they're off...
Before the race she expected to swim the 1000 meters in about 35 min and she finished in 29 minutes! You go girl! (Mike was 3rd out of the water! in 18 min). Go MIKE!

Dad did awesome. He had a good bike ride and he looked good in his new shirt we all got him for Father's day! He said after mile 5 he felt so good that he could have went on and on forever. He was on a high.
Todd finished at a dead sprint! It was very warm for the bike and the run and it was at a higher altitude. They did a great job.

Mike got 1st place in his age division and he finished 4th overall! &
Kim, Todd and my Dad received 3rd place metals for the relay!
Way to go guys! I am so proud of you all!

Ode to my Brooklyn!

Brooklyn is the funniest little girl with an incredible personality. She is so much fun to be around. She says the sweetest and craziest things that I can't help but laugh so hard. She cracks Vaughn and I up all of the time. And she loves that!
She has been stopping Vaughn and I quite a bit lately and saying...."Mommy or Daddy, do you know that I love you?" looking us right in the eyes. She says,... "Oh wow thank you so much." You are so nice!" (so sincerely). "I really appreciate that!" "Thanks bud!"(to Jackson). or "Come here buddy," with outstretched arms.

She has quite the imagination and will come up with the funniest stories. Random things, that Vaughn and I have no idea where she learned them from. It will be interesting to see what she will be interested when she is older. She loves books and is wanting to read a lot, or someone to read to her. She loves the Reader's Digest! Man, when that thing comes in the mail, it's all hers!!! She will carry it around everywhere with her. That and the Friend. She also loves coupons! So funny. She is always drawing pictures of everyone and FOR everyone. She is very helpful and sweet as can be!

She is getting quite good at her bike and rides around the parimeter of our deck like there is no tomarrow. It is really funny to watch. I have to hold my breath quite often.

She is so cute and we love her so much! I couldn't have asked for a better little girl!
PS~stayed tuned for an ode to Jackson & Vaughn.

Big Man in a Little Be-ed!

Excuse the messy room, but this is one of our daily rituals that is so much fun together. Reading. I thought this picture is cute of Vaughn. The kids love this.

Family Bike ride!

Here we are on a fun Saturday (workout) bike ride with everyone. We had a blast and need to do this a lot more. We rode down on the greenbelt past the horse races, the river of course, and even found a mini dirt bike course....I had to take a few spins on it. It looked too fun. Dad, Chad and I were the only ones brave enough to battle the hills. WHY? It was so much fun! We won't mention who biffed it hard! We had a blast!
