Bikes, Trikes and Good Friends!

Look how stinkin' cute these two are! We love them. Kirsten and Elias Jack Nelson! Eli! It is fun to call him his whole name. Anyways, we have been loving going to the park with our FAVORITE neighbors in the whole wide world! It has been so stinkin' nice outside and everyday, Kirsten and I just itch to take our little tikes out to let them ride their bikes, blow bubbles, and play like crazy. They love it too, and come home spent from playing so hard.

Kirsten is ready to have her second little boy soon and it looks like he may come a little early...like a month or so. We will see! Good luck Kirsten!!! You're the woman!

OUCH!

These are my boys in all their glory!
All beat up....! This weekend we had quite a few incidences happen. Vaughn was up camping with the scouts at Lucky Peak and of course the boys were playing capture the flag in the pitch dark. He was running home for the victory, grabbed the flag, turned around and took off full blast only to find a huge thorn bush eating up his face. He then hit the bush and fell right into it. These pictures don't capture the wounds good enough. I wish I got a better picture of it. It really scared me when I saw him for the first time.

Now on to Jackson ....what did he do? You mean, what didn't he do? Well....hmmm....what can I say. Poor kid, I have been having nightmares about this ever since. We were over @ the Furhiman's house, I was inside, holding new baby Jaxon, and watching as the kids were playing together. I saw my Jackson on the concrete steps playing. He has lately been so good on the steps and turns around and goes down on his belly. So to be honest, I wasn't worried a bit. I was watching him though just in case. And then it happened. In a blink of an eye. At the last second he decided to go down the stairs like the other kids. So, he stepped down, and immediatly lost his balance. Mind you, he was on concrete stairs! He head went down first and hit the corner of the step and then he slid the rest of the way down, scraping up his nose. The thud was terrible. I can't even describe it. I just screamed for Vaughn.

Little did my eye on him help!! Way to go mom! I feel so bad. It has been playing over and over again in my head. It all happened so very fast. Larry Horton says that I don't have to worry unless I get brought into the "questioning room." Then I have to worry! How does he know? Well....ask him. But anyways, I handed baby Jaxon off to Carol and ran to my little screaming child. Vaughn had him at that point and we both held him in our arms, feeling so terrible! OH!!! Jackson, we are so sorry!!!! We love you!

So...the moral of the storIES are..........DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE, BUT HOLD JACKSON EVERYWHERE HE GOES (even in your house), AND ... WEAR A FACE MASK PLAYING CAPTURE THE FLAG ...PLEASE!

Both my boys need helmets!

Cutest little people ever!

The other night we got to watch Jennifer (Vaughn's sister) & Steve's kids while they went to the temple. We had a blast with them and always do.
They are a lot of fun to be with. At the end of the night we ended up reading books all together. They each got to pick one out. They looked so cute in their pj's all ready for bed!

Ethan, Allison (twins), Ryan, Brooklyn, Cassandra, & Jackson!

Reggie's Veggie's Mansion!

Here is a picture of the house that Vaughn & Mom and Dad have been working on.

They got this build job a while ago from the couple who own Reggie's Veggie's. It is a beautiful area and the house turned out looking gorgeous.
Vaughn got a chance to sheet rock and finish off the whole basement. AND...his father, Craig, being the amazingly nice guy that he is, decided to come and help him. So, for many days they worked alongside each other....really it was just a big party Vaughn said! He loves his Dad! (So do I!).
Way to go guys! I Love it! I am very proud of all of you! You are a bunch of crazy hard workers!

Gotta Love Bead Board!

Vaughn and I have wanted to start putting bead board around in different places in our house b/c we love it SO much! Finally last Saturday he said, I am just going to put this up really quick. A few hours later, he wasn't lying! It was up and going. Now...it was my turn...painting! Love it! We had a family BBQ and I had to run a bunch of errands, so late Sat. night @ 11:00, I painted our bead board. The clencher is...we aren't sure we love the color. We think it might be too much brown! WHAT too much brown you say? I know!!! Who could have too much brown! (Isn't it funny that we love brown nowadays! I used to barf seeing that color, now I have it everywhere, wear it as much as I can, and even eat it! 100% whole wheat baby!). ANYWHoOooooo....here is the process! PS~ don't paint under a counter at night. You need all the light you can get coming in from your windows!

Mommy, I have a surprise!

" Mommy, look, I can wear my baby blessing dress still!" This was Brooklyn as I came to get her out of quiet time the other day. She loves to dress up and found this hanging in her closet. My mouth litteraly dropped to the floor seeing this size 0-3 month dress on my 3 year old! Hmm...maybe she thought it meant 3 YEARS old! I couldn't believe that she acutally still fit (in most places) into it. I about died laughing as I scanned her from head to toe. "Love the Boots Girl!" She is a girl after my own heart! Gotta have a good pair of hot boots! Anyways, she is hillarious!

Just Chillin' Mom!

I keep forgetting to post these funny pictures. We were watching Jill Simmon's kids, Parker and Austin. They are super cute kids and Jackson & Brooklyn really love them. I was in the kitchen, cleaning, and I looked out to check on the kids and this is what I found......Parker and Brooklyn Just Hangin' Out on the couch chatting away! It was hillarious. It was like they were ole' pals needin' to catch up! And they were going on and on to each other about who knows what! It was so funny that I had to SNAP a shot!

House for Sale!

We put our house up for sale last fall....by owner. Vaughn really wants to be closer to work, out in Meridian/Eagle/Star/Nampa area, and we live in Boise...Lake Hazel & Maple Grove area. He drives so far everyday....usually a 45 min. drive to get home. We thought we might like to spend that time together instead of wasting precious "together time" in his car driving....so we thought we would see what would happen if we put it up for sale! Well...the picture you see below is exactly what happened to our house...mmm.....

NOTHING! Still here! The market has been so incredibly slow that we haven't seen much movement by way of lookers. Well...unless they want to rip you incredibly off!

Well, we have recently had several people looking at it, which is a huge increase to what we had in the past. We will see what happens. You just never know.
We aren't in any rush and are more than happy with our house. We, in fact, love it and are very comfortable here. We have a lot to be grateful for. We LOVE the neighborhood, the church ward we are in, and friends and family near by. It makes us often question whether or not we really want to move & build again. That is really why we haven't listed with a relator. We just haven't been in a huge rush at all. So, when it sells...it sells. We will just see what the Lord has in store for our future.

Jackson's First Hair Cut!

Happy First Hair Cut Jackson! Vaughn and I gave Jackson his first hair cut. We were actually worried about how he would do with the buzzers! He did great. He actually loved it. He thought he was somethin' else!
