D&S Homes

I have had quite a few requests from people to see what my parents and Vaughn are doing with D&S Homes lately. They have their website up and running, and now you can check it out and dream away!!!
Or make it a reality...they would like that too!

Watson Family Reunion Time!

Has it been 2 years? Time has flown by. Every two years the Watson's (Vaughn's mom's side of the family) has a huge family reunion. It has been a family tradition for years for them, and they literally have it down to a science. I was taking notes! They are good...let me tell you. They are so organized, they even have their family set up into leadership roles....Secretary, Historian, etc. I have always been impressed with the Watson's!
We had a blast and loved being around family. It was fun to see family that we don't get to see very often.

Here is an incredibly brief rundown of the events. (I am so bummed that I am missing pictures from my camera, especially from the Whizzy Watson ( an incredibly fun event)!

Here is Jackson and Brooklyn out back with Vaughn making their "box-cars." Paint was involved as you can tell from the paint shirts. (At one point, Jackson did think the brown paint was chocolate...eee). The final projects turned out great! Brooklyn's pink hummer and J-dawgs hot rims were a hit!

Here was just one of the many things we did. We were in the park for several activities.

Here is poor Jacob getting sat on by Jackson. Schoochie woochie! As you can see, each siblings' families are all in a certain color with Reunion T's on. Ours were Yellow.

Ah ha, I got my chair back!!

It was quite the production with over 100 people. We did some fun things ranging from swimming in Dirkies Lake, to pinatas, playing lots of games, having slumber parties, box car races, a family home evening, doing the Whizzy Watson (Crazy fun), and lots of eating. We had a great time.

Ode to my Jackson!

My little Jackson....how could I ever say
no with these cute dimples and sweet eyes looking at me?
Well, it is hard b/c he is so stinkin' sweet!

Jackson is a very typical boy. He climbs on everything he can. He loves any kind of ball and drives his cars or trucks everywhere. He even drives his food on his highchair, with the noises of course. He tries on every high heel shoe that I own. Very typical for a boy, I know! He loves to be outside and playing. Mostly he loves to ride the bikes and scooters. He loves his sister/playmate and always tells her to "cm'on," holding out his hand for her. He is really busy and moving whenever he can. He gives lots of hugs and kisses and we love it when he cuddles with us. He usually lays his head on our shoulders as he hugs us and rubs our backs. Then he is off again.

It has been fun to hear him talk a lot more lately. He has been saying, Peas (please), Hey (thanks), sh sh with his finger on his lips, Dadda, Mamma, oo-wen (Brooklyn), ni-nit (nightnight), ood (food), potty, wa (drink), bow (ball), book, teeth, Ma-ma (Grandma, pa & G-ma), Bacca, etc." He is at a fun stage learning a lot of new words, and imitating us. I am writing this for journal purposes, b/c it will be fun to look back and see what stage he was at, and to see how he said different words.
Vaughn was pretty upset the other day when he saw pictures of his "SON" that I had taken of when I put Jackson in Brooklyn's swimming suit. It was hillarious and I really want to post the pictures. I still might. If they are on here, I got brave!!! heehee

He is totally in love with his Dadda and wants to follow him everywhere when he gets home.

I am happy to announce that he has slowed down on his bumps and bruises and is so much more stable on his feet. THANK HEAVENS! I can't tell you how much more relieved I am with him nowadays!

He is just too cute and we love him so much. We are so grateful to have him in our family. He is a sure light!

Swim....I look way too cute for that!

Roaring Springs here we come! This year we decided to get a pass for me, at a great deal, b/c this would be the last year that I would only have to pay for me. The kids are free still! SO....we have been going and the kids really don't dig it. I can't believe it!!!! I look around and think...I want to run around and play at this place. It is huge and has a ton of slides and rides. They are just really unfamiliar with the water and I am hoping that they warm up to it. I put Brooklyn in Kara and Stacey's swimming lessons, so we will see if that helps!
